We've Launched!

Welcome to my place!  I am super lucky to be a mom, a teacher, a writer, and a whole lot of other things too.  

This is my personal page, but the most exciting place of mine you should visit is Chicken Scratch Books. In late 2019, I decided it was time to realize a dream I've had for decades. I then spent many months laying the groundwork for my own children's book publishing company. Now we've launched our first book! Along with our first book we've also launched the companion online Novel Study Course for students. We'll be publishing 3 more books this year, with 6 more lined up for next year. Whew! Lots happening at Chicken Scratch Books!

​We also offer free and paid writing courses for people interested in writing for kids. If you are interested in new traditional middle grade fiction from any angle, please check us out!
