My sweet husband texted me first thing. "It's a good snowflake day," he said. I did a little squeal, opened the door to check in the early morning light, and sure enough. The snowflakes falling were beautiful! I donned my winter gear, retrieved my digital microscope from the recesses of the drawer, and set up my workstation under the back eaves. It was cold - about 12 degrees. The snowflakes tumbled onto my glass plate as I worked, so I took picture after picture. After about twenty five minutes, my computer decided it was too cold, so that was my signal to return to reality. My fingers were numb, and I had a day to dive into.

This was my first snowflake picture day of the season. It reminded me once again of many truths:  I love the incredible beauty of nature. God's handiwork is a miracle. Peace comes into my life as I take the time to notice. Sometimes I need to take the time to notice. I have a wonderful husband who knows that I need to take the time to notice.

Merry Christmas to you all! Next time you have a snow day, take the time to look at the tiny miracles and be filled with awe.
